This course is meant to introduce experienced climbers to the world of lead climbing. The curriculum includes: rope management on lead, proper clipping techniques, belaying a leader, and the safety considerations for lead climbers and belayers in the gym. The course is designed to enable students to complete the “lead climbing certification test.” Students are required to have previous experience climbing and be able to comfortably climb 5.9+. $60 for members, $80 for non-members.
