I am a native Californian and have grown to love the Sierras and its abundance of high alpine adventure. At Humboldt State University, I studied Business and Outdoor Adventure Recreation. Through school I have had extensive training in outdoor leadership as well as direct experience guiding students through the gorgeous backcountry of the Trinity Alps. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and have completed the AAI level 1 avalanche course and AMGA Single Pitch Rock Climbing Instructor course.
I came to Tahoe to because of its tremendous capacity for outdoor pursuits and its wealth of people who participate in active lifestyles and maintain its diverse adventure community.
One moment in Tahoe I will never forget was in my first trip up Rose Knob Peak last winter. We had snowshoed, practically from our backdoor, up to the summit overlooking Incline Village and Lake Tahoe when my hiking partner put a hand on my shoulder and said, “Welcome to your backyard”.
